Welcome to my world!

On top of the world in Mongolia
On Photography
.
Photography is a study of how light and shadow affects everything around us and our own and individual interpretation of the meaning of life, death and the universe as we know it. It's a discipline of painting with light and the magic of capturing the moment. I love monochrome studies that evoke deep emotions, while cutting through shallow appearances.
I'm a professional photographer, specialising in property, landscapes and portraiture. I also enjoy studio work, wildlife and nature and working with children. I first developed a passion for photography when I was twenty years old which then culminated in a three year long study at the Canberra Institute of Technology. I had a ten year hiatus working with computers, internet and consultancy based businesses that I part co-owned and co-managed, however I returned to photography in 2005 and have not looked back since.
I have also been part of a number of photographic exhibitions both in Australia and Europe, experiences that I have thoroughly enjoyed and plan on repeating in the near future.
On Photographic Equipment
My very first camera was an Olympus OM2 to which I then added the Olympus OM1 and another OM2. I then made a switch to Canon, opting in for the EOS 630 in addition to a medium format Mamiya RB 6x7. After a brief affair with Nikon and the F4 I came back to Canon and currently use the 5D Mark 2 and the A650i plus an assortment of lenses and studio lights.
On Computers and IT
In 1995 I started an Internet Services Provider (ISP) based in Canberra, called CyberOne Internet. Then in 2001 I proceeded to build a new business, based around online content and network support and management, called EON Management Systems which continued on until 2010.
On Family

Camping together with Julian and Riker
I have two children (see photos), Julian and Riker (half Thai and half Polish) and I continually work at ensuring that they have a sense of self-esteem, fairness and good values while being allowed to enjoy being young.
On Me

Me and Wendy, together in Canada
Born in Poland, moved to Australia at the age of eleven, I lived large parts of my childhood on the move, seeing and experiencing different parts of Australia.
During that time I developed a taste for adventure and travel that also seems to run in my family. As such I immensely enjoy activities such as camping, bushwalking, scuba diving, mountain biking, canoeing and pretty much anything else outdoors, as long as it doesn't involve loud and intrusive engine sounds.
While I've been to quite a few parts of Australia and am a great a believer that we should all experience our own backyard before looking for beyond our shores, I have developed a love of Africa after spending a month of backpacking there would definitely like to go back. The other places that I very much enjoyed visiting and would like to re-visit are Mongolia, where I completed a 400km mountain bike trek across the Arkhangai mountain ranges and Canada where I've meet, Wendy my life partner and also my wife.

My Passion:
Is raising consciousness and awareness of our natural world and the human existence, the good the bad and the ugly. I love working with children in any capacity and advocate that as adults we ALL have the responsibility to help teach the children of our world how to think as opposed to what to think.
My Antipathy:
I detest all types of indoctrination and brainwashing including faith schools and the teaching of baseless religious ignorance based on fear of science and knowledge. Such undertakings by misguided parents, societies , cultures and religions instils an inexplicable and irrational sense of guilt toward oneself while contributing in making our vulnerable children too afraid to accept our universe for what it is, thus obstructing and preventing in the leading of liberated, happy and fulfilled lives without god, religion or metaphorical self-flagellation. As a consequence this creates life long dependencies, often impossible to be unshackled from, on the young, trusting, innocent and unsuspecting minds. There is no word for this today, other than immoral behaviour and psychological child abuse. it is repressive and it is wrong! I also stand firm against all levels of inter-human discrimination, be it racial, sexual, gender, class, status, genetic or otherwise. We are all equal and we are all related.
I think, therefore I am:
I consider myself to be an atheist humanist and a pursuer of reason, rational thought and logical deductions based on publicly verifiable evidence that's grounded in credulity. I do not feel the compulsion nor the need to believe in a soul, any god(s), satan, pure good or absolute evil nor in the existence of any supernatural phenomena or deity. I am fulfilled living within our current understanding of the vast, expanding and the amazingly wonderful universe as provided to humanity through science, logic and common sense. Even though it's unlikely to happen in my lifetime I look forward to the day when humanity truly learns to work together as one, discarding the small minded bigotry, divisiveness, and arrogance of religions and tribalism.
I believe in the human race....
